6月19日就是端午節的連續假期，不少民眾下班後，就拎著大包小包提早返鄉，像台鐵跟高鐵，如果沒有提前買，今晚（18日）都是一票難求，而國道客運，也是加班車一班接一班來，光3天就預計加開1萬多車次。
三步併做兩步，民眾一個接著一個，身上拎著大包小包，衝上自強號火車，雖然還是有少數人買的是站票，但多數人都有座位，順利趕在端午連假前夕回家。
有車票就該慶幸，看看售票口，還有長長的人龍都等著買票，對號車一位難求。而同樣湧現返鄉人潮的，還有高鐵站。
民眾快步通過高鐵閘門，比台鐵還多歸鄉人潮，其實連假3天的高鐵對號座，早就賣出31萬張。
買不到高鐵票，有不少民眾轉搭客運，公路總局表示，2015年端午連假，客運加班車，西部高達1萬1千輛，東部1500輛，累計台鐵加開186列次，高鐵也加開2班全站停車的自由座列車。
受到下班時間跟返鄉車潮影響，6月18日的國道車流量，也比普通日增加20%。國道南下路段以新竹系統附近車速較慢，其餘路段維持80公里以上的時速，高公局建議民眾，可多利用晚間11點過後的暫停收費時段上路，避開尖峰時段，平安回家過節。（民視新聞陳姵妡、詹皓帆台北報導）
